Shoppable TrueView Ads for Action:

With the recent developments in place, the performance advertisers will now be able to list their products in the TrueView for Action ads. There will be an arrow marked on the left-hand side under the video screen, clicking on which a selection of products will be visible to the viewer and allow them to shop from there itself.

This feature will eventually merge the TrueView for Action banner with the product listings of the new feature. In order to be able to use the feature, the advertiser needs to have linked their Google merchant center account with the Google ads account first to begin with.

We believe this feature is a first of many as Google will definitely try to make their offering unique with the likes of Facebook/Instagram/WhatsApp and Amazon are challenging YouTube on the ad revenue model in the eCommerce space.

In addition to the above announcement, Google added another campaign sub-type – Video Action Campaign. This will help advertisers to show ads on the YouTube Home feed, Watch pages and Google video partners inventories. Google also confirmed that some of the new inventory sources will also be automatically added with the intention to help advertisers reach more potential audiences.
