Helping Small Businesses with “Reopening” after the Lockdown period is what Google is looking at!
Google
announced a handful of new features during their last week event in order to
help the small and medium businesses to cope up with the difficulties of “Reopening”
after the several weeks of Lockdown forced by the Covid-19 pandemic. And one of
those announcements was regarding the Shopping ads.
Local Store Details on the Shopping Ads:
It is not a secret anymore that the Shopping ads are one of
its million-dollar babies and to give it another boost and attract the
marketeer’s attention, Google has come up with another significant addition to
the product.
Starting this week, the advertisers can update the product
feed and add information like product availability, location, curbside pick-up
or delivery in order to show them to the customers. According to Google, this
latest feature will be available in all countries where the product is
available.
As a goodwill gesture to the small and medium retailers
during the Coronavirus crisis, Google speed up the process of adding local
services information in April which was made available to both paid and free
listings.

As you can see in the above image, the business listing
shows the information like the availability of curbside pick-up/delivery, click
to call or get directions to the store along with the available products from
their overall product brochure.
The “curbside pick-up” badge was first introduced by Google
in the month of May has now been offered to all retailers to help them during
this global pandemic.
